Actress Patty Duke said she has changed her mind and will run for a second term as president of the Screen Actors Guild. Duke previously said it was “extremely unlikely†that she would seek another two-year term as head of the 60,000-member union. But she told the annual Hollywood membership meeting, “All rumors and statements to the contrary notwithstanding, I will seek a second term as your president.†The election will be in October.
