El Toro : 300,000 Attend Second Day of Navy Air Show
An estimated 300,000 people saw the second and final day of the 37th annual Navy Relief Air Show at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station on Sunday.
Although Marine officials had expected that many people, cars were turned away from the base about 2:30 p.m. after parking lots filled to capacity, said Sgt. James Hager, a public affairs representative for the base.
Clear weather and sunshine attracted more people Sunday, after Saturday’s scattered showers and cool weather, Hager said. The show drew a crowd of 225,000 people on Saturday.
