Local News in Brief : Oak Tree Crashes Into Encino Comedy Club

A 50-foot-tall oak crashed into an Encino comedy club Saturday night, preempting the show but injuring no one, authorities said.
About 25 people were in the L.A. Cabaret at 17271 Ventura Blvd. when the tree fell into the one-story building at 7:17 p.m., Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said.
