S&L; Robbed: A man took $700 in cash at gunpoint Saturday from a teller at Hawthorne Savings & Loan, 3502 Katella Ave., police said. The gunman, described as about 25 years old, entered the bank at 9:40 a.m. and showed a teller his gun before fleeing with the money. He was seen traveling eastbound on Katella in a blue, older model Chevrolet, police spokesman Duane Swearingen said. No shots were fired and no one was injured, he said.
