Valerio L. Giannini has joined Geneva Business Services as president of its wholly owned subsidiary, Geneva Business Network Inc.
Separately, Conrad J. Tuerk has been promoted to the newly created position of president of Geneva Research Services Inc., another of the Costa Mesa-based Geneva Cos. group.
Prior to joining Geneva, Giannini was with Cumberland Investment Group in New York City, where he dealt with new venture financing, work outs and leveraged buy-outs.
From 1977 to 1980 Giannini served as a deputy special assistant to the president and director of White House operations, and in 1980 was appointed a deputy assistant secretary of commerce and director of the Office of Productivity and Product Technology.
Tuerk joined Geneva’s Chicago office in 1985 as senior vice president of Geneva Business Services. He had been owner and president of Tuerk and Associates, a Chicago-based financial services company specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Tuerk also served as president of Alcott Corp., Chicago, a financial services firm which developed venture capital deals.
Geneva specializes in providing merger and acquisition services to the owners of middle-market businesses valued from $1 million to $50 million.
