Marques Johnson’s Infant Son Dies After Falling Into Swimming Pool
The 15-month-old son of Clipper forward Marques Johnson died Saturday, slightly more than 24 hours after falling into the family swimming pool.
Marques Kevin Johnson Jr. died at 5:37 p.m. of cardiac arrest, a Clipper spokesman said.
The youngster was admitted, in critical condition, to UCLA Medical Center Friday night. Firefighters were called to the Johnson home at 4:55 p.m. Friday and tried to revive the boy, who had fallen in the pool, but the baby arrived at UCLA in respiratory and cardiac arrest, a hospital spokesman said.
Johnson and his wife, Jocelyn, have two other sons, Kristaan, 10, and Josiah, 4.
