An El Cajon couple has been charged with intent to sell and possession of cocaine after police obtained a search warrant for their house and found 2.5 pounds of the drug with a reported $70,000 street value.
Carri Lenore Vargas, 35, was released from Las Colinas County Jail and William Eugene Novell, 29, was released from the County Jail downtown Wednesday after posting $3,000 bail each.
After four months of investigation, police obtained a search warrant for the couple’s home in the 600 block of Grant Avenue and began searching it about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said. Police also confiscated more than $22,000 in cash and several loaded guns.
