Kim Rieff, a 6-foot center from South Tahoe (Nev.) High School, and Julie King, a 5-8 guard from Cerritos who attended the University of New Mexico, have signed letters of intent to attend Chapman College, announced Paul Kahn, coach of the Chapman women’s basketball team, Monday.
Rieff was named first team All-Northern Nevada and second team all-state after averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots as a senior.
King was all-state as a senior at Gahr High School. She averaged 3.0 points in five games for New Mexico last season before injuring her left shoulder. King will be eligible to play this season because New Mexico dropped its program at the end of last season.
