Texas Air Corp. will acquire 50% of Bangor, Me.-based Bar Harbor Airlines and arrange for the sale of its Provincetown-Boston Airline unit to Bar Harbor, officials say. Texas Air, the nation’s largest airline holding company, will provide additional capital to Bar Harbor Airlines in the form of convertible debt. If converted, the debt would increase Texas Air’s ownership of the privately held Bar Harbor to 84%, officials said. PBA will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Bar Harbor and will continue to operate as PBA.
