The Phoenix Suns, reeling from a series of drug indictments, await a league announcement today on the results of drug tests that will determine the future of three players.
Guards Jay Humphries and Grant Gondrezick suited up for Saturday night’s season finale against the Clippers despite being indicted earlier in the week. James Edwards, also charged in the Phoenix police investigation of cocaine trafficking, is on the injured list and did not suit up but was in attendance.
Former players Garfield Heard and Mike Bratz were also charged. The NBA will announce today the drug tests of Humphries, Edwards and Gondrezick.
