Son of Prime Minister Wins Irish Senate Seat

LONDON — Sean Haughey, the son of Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey, has won a seat in Ireland’s upper house of Parliament after failing to gain a lower house seat at February general elections that brought his father to power.
Haughey, 26, was chosen for the Senate in a postal ballot by members of Parliament and local authorities last week.
