Woman Found Dead Near I-8 in El Cajon

California Highway Patrol officers found the body of an unidentified woman Thursday afternoon in a grassy area off Interstate 8 in El Cajon.
The woman, who had suffered multiple injuries to the head and body, was fully clothed and in her mid-30s, Deputy Coroner Everett Mauger said.
A passing motorist spotted the body and notified the CHP. Officers found the body at 1:40 p.m.
The death is being investigated by San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
