San Diego High School Baseball : Wilson Leads Oceanside, 5-4

Dwayne Wilson hit a two-run single in the seventh inning to lead Oceanside High School to a 5-4 victory over San Pasqual Wednesday in an Avocado League game at Oceanside.

Reliever David Chavez (2-1) pitched the final 1 innings.

Wilson and Henry Reich had two hits each to lead Oceanside, 1-1 in league and 3-6 overall. San Pasqual is 0-3 and 4-7.

In a City Central League game:

San Diego 16, Lincoln 4--Jose Espinoza had 2 walks, 2 doubles, 2 runs scored and 4 RBIs to lead San Diego (3-1-1, 8-3-1). Charlton Lynch hit a home run for Lincoln (1-3-1 in league).

Briefly--Crawford 7, Hoover 2; Christian 9, St. Augustine 0.

CITY WESTERN LEAGUE

Kearny 7, University City 6--Lupe Ford’s RBI single in the 10th gave Kearny the victory at home. Ford was 3 for 6 to pace Kearny (1-4, 3-5-2). University City is 1-4 in league.

CITY EASTERN LEAGUE

Mira Mesa 6, Serra 2--Eric Estey (4-0) allowed five hits in the complete-game victory at Serra. Angelo Carrerro was 3 for 4 to lead Mira Mesa (4-1, 10-2). Serra is 2-3, 6-6.

Point Loma 5, Patrick Henry 3--Point Loma scored four runs off five consecutive hits in the first inning at home.

NONLEAGUE

Fallbrook 6, Ramona 1--Fallbrook’s T.J. Flynn hit two home runs at Ramona. Flynn was 3 for 4 with four RBIs to lead Fallbrook (9-1). Ramona is 1-5.
