Man Robs Buena Park Savings and Loan
A man in his mid-30s, who covered his face with a bandana, robbed a savings and loan in Buena Park on Wednesday, then fled on foot, authorities said.
Buena Park police said the robber entered the Fidelity Federal Savings & Loan Assn. branch in the 8400 block of La Palma Avenue at about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday. Lt. Ken Baguley said the robber demanded money from two tellers after indicating that he had a weapon, possibly a gun, tucked inside his waistband. Baguley said the bandit fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. The bank robber was described as about 5-foot-10, weighing 190 pounds. Police said he wore blue jeans, a windbreaker and dark-rimmed glasses, in addition to the bandana.
