Santa Ana : 2 Arrested, 1 Sought After Burglary at Store
Two men rammed a pickup truck through a Radio Shack store Friday, and two suspects were arrested later after neighbors noticed them unloading merchandise and alerted authorities, police said. A third suspect is still being sought.
Joe A. Robles, 20, and Robert Anthony Duarte, 25, both of Santa Ana, were arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on suspicion of receiving stolen property, according to police.
Witnesses spotted three men unloading merchandise at 4 a.m. in the 800 block of South Maple Street, police said. When authorities arrived, the three men sped away in a truck, pursued by officers, according to Santa Ana Police spokeswoman Maureen Thomas.
The suspects abandoned the truck and took off on foot through a backyard but were apprehended by Police Officer Bill Letizio and his dog, Rex.
Duarte suffered a minor dog bite wound in the leg, police said.
