Linear Corp. Announces Quarterly Earnings Jump
Linear Corp. announced that its third-quarter earnings jumped to $471,000 on revenues of $14 million, contrasted with net income of $193,000 on sales of $9.8 million over the same three months last year. For the first nine months, Linear’s net income stands at $2.3 million on sales of $41.9 million, contrasted with a net loss of $183,000 on sales of $30.3 million over the comparable period last year.
Profit margins over the quarter were negatively affected by the company’s still-ongoing move of manufacturing capacity from Colorado to Hong Kong.
