Culver City : Hearing on City Hall Site Set
- Share via
The Redevelopment Agency will hold a public study session April 15 in City Hall to review staff reports on which the agency has based its selection of a site for a proposed new city hall.
The study session was scheduled in addition to an April 27 public hearing on the selection of a 3.4-acre site on the northwest corner of Culver Boulevard and Overland Avenue.
Both meetings were set after some residents complained that the city did not seek enough public comment when it selected the site. The agency chose it Feb. 9 over a 1.6-acre site on Culver Boulevard and Irving Place and a 2.7-acre lot on Washington Boulevard and Van Buren Place.
Information packets on the site selection are available at the Los Angeles Public Library, 4975 Overland Ave.; the Culver City Senior Center, 4153 Overland Ave.; the Planning Division office and the city clerk’s office in City Hall, 9770 Culver Blvd., and the Redevelopment Division office, 9696 Culver Blvd.
The agency is also seeking applications for a City Hall Citizens Advisory Committee that will make recommendations on designing and constructing the new city hall. Applications must be turned in to the Redevelopment Division office by April 30.
