Art Schlichter, the former Indianapolis Colt and Ohio State quarterback, pleaded guilty in Indianapolis to illegal gambling charges and was put on probation, but said that he has regained control over his addiction to gambling.

Under a plea agreement, a six-month prison sentence imposed by Marion County Municipal Judge A. Toni Cordingley was suspended. Schlichter also was fined $10 and ordered to pay $74 in court costs.
