A South San Francisco woman said she hopes her husband will come out of hiding and “get his life straightened out.†So do his other wives in Seattle, Sacramento, Florida, Denver and Texas. The South San Francisco wife told the San Francisco Examiner that John C. Lutter, 45, lost his $60,000-a-year job as a flight engineer with United Airlines when he vanished last summer--about the time she began to be suspicious. “It’s a psychological problem,†she said, adding that most of the other wives join her in hoping Lutter “will admit what he did.†And so do the 12 children.
