Rich ‘Terrific’ After Surgery

Jazz drummer Buddy Rich “feels terrific” after a brain tumor was removed during a four-hour operation at UCLA Medical Center, his business manager said today.

“He wants to know when he can get his TV and go back to his room, and where are his friends,” said business manager Joan Resnick. Rich, 69, was listed in good condition following successful surgery that concluded at 10 p.m. Monday, hospital spokesman Michael Burns said.
