A Roman Catholic priest was found stabbed to death in a church rectory in Buffalo, N.Y., less than a mile from a rectory where a priest was killed 12 days earlier. Police said they were looking into potential links between the stabbing deaths of Msgr. David P. Herlihy, 74, and Father A. Joseph Bissonette, 55, who was killed Feb. 24. Herlihy, a priest for nearly 50 years who retired recently, was found dead early Sunday in the rectory of St. Matthew’s Church by the pastor. An autopsy showed he had been stabbed several times in the chest, police said. No arrests have been made in either slaying.
