County Policy on Smoking Curbs
On Wednesday, the Orange County supervisors will again be reviewing the voluntary approach, in the private sector, to restrictions on smoking. They have been looking at this for two years.
This supposed answer to the problem is wholeheartedly endorsed and supported by the tobacco industry. Why? The answer is simple. They know it doesn’t work. I have been trying to get the supervisors to recognize this, too.
I would urge the citizens of Orange County who know it doesn’t work, particularly at their places of employment, to write, or phone their supervisors, to convey this important message to them. Better yet, be there on Wednesday to make your wishes known.
