The University of Maryland has suspended forward David Gregg for one year, but the suspension was made retroactive to the beginning of the season. Gregg did not play this year and will have three years eligibility remaining.

He allegedly was with teammate Len Bias the morning he died of cocaine intoxication in his dormitory room.
