A Jacksonville, Fla., theater was firebombed after receiving threats about Jean-Luc Godard’s “Hail Mary,†a film about a modern-day Virgin Mary, the Florida Times-Union reported Monday. The firebomb, made from a one-quart beer bottle, was thrown against the River City Playhouse ticket window early Saturday, said a police spokesman. It caused less than $100 damage. The theater was closed at the time and no one was hurt, he said. The movie was shown Wednesday night by the Film Institute of Jacksonville despite several threats against the theater.
