Community College Baseball : Cypress Loses to El Camino

El Camino College scored six runs in the first inning en route to a 15-4 victory over Cypress Friday in a second-round game of the double-elimination Cypress/Fullerton Tournament at Cypress.
Three Cypress pitchers allowed 13 hits, walked 12 and hit one batter.
Starter David Wooley (1-1) took the loss.
Tom Rodgers went 3 for 4 with a home run and three runs batted in to lead the Warriors (5-1).
Troy Brown hit a solo homer in the eighth inning for the Chargers (5-3), who had only six hits.
In the San Diego Southwestern Tournament:
Orange Coast 8, Citrus 5--J.J. Colpepper and Ralph Ramirez each were 3 for 4 and scored two runs as the Pirates (5-2) won a loser’s bracket game. Sophomore right-hander Jim Foley (2-0) pitched a complete game.
Grossmont 6, Orange Coast 2--Colpepper had two hits and Joey James tripled in both runs as the Pirates lost a first-round game.
