Paramount : Pool Renovation Ordered
The city’s largest swimming pool, at Paramount Park, which has been closed since October for repairs, is expected to reopen this summer. The City Council has awarded a $187,850 contract to Nadar Inc. of La Puente to renovate the pool.
The work will include replacement of deteriorating underground pipes, gutters, tiles, the underwater lighting system and replastering. The 12-foot-deep, 25-yard-long municipal pool, which draws as many as 350 swimmers a day during the summer, is expected to reopen in June.
