Lucas Scores 24 as SCC Rallies for 95-89 Win

Rob Lucas scored 24 points and had 9 rebounds to lead Southern California College to a 95-89 win over West Coast Christian in an NAIA District 3 men’s basketball game Tuesday at Costa Mesa.
Ed Clark scored 23 points in the first half to give West Coast Christian a 56-51 halftime lead, but the Vanguards rallied with full-court pressure and held Clark to four points in the second half.
Capitalizing mostly on the inside, the Vanguards shot 57% from the field in the second half; West Coast Christian (2-8, 12-13) shot only 33%.
Southern California College (9-4, 18-7) will play Athletes in Action in an exhibition game Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
