Penner, Northridge to Face USC Today
The Cal State Northridge baseball team will take a 3-3 nonconference record into Dedeaux Field today when it plays USC at 2:30 p.m.
Dan Penner, the former Southern Section player of year at Rio Mesa High who transferred to CSUN from Hawaii, is scheduled to pitch for the Matadors. Penner does not have a decision this season.
John Reilley, who is the only returning Trojans pitcher, is scheduled to start for USC. Reilley was 2-8 last season with a 5.40 earned-run average. This season, he is 1-1 with a 3.27 ERA.
The Trojans (5-3) are coached by former College of the Canyons Coach Mike Gillespie.
