A bomb exploded at the Municipal Court building in Manteca, blowing out windows in the front of the structure in a blast that was heard at least a mile away, police said. “The explosion blew out about six windows in the front and blew the frame off the door,” said Sgt. Stan Petz. There was no warning telephone call, Petz said. No injuries were reported and there was no fire. Damage was described as moderate and police said there were “no suspects at this time.” Federal alcohol, tobacco and firearms officials and the San Joaquin County sheriff’s bomb squad were also investigating. The court was closed until afternoon “for cleanup and collection of evidence in the investigation,” Police Lt. Charles Halford said.
