Missouri Trooper Killed

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Missouri Highway Patrol trooper was shot and killed Sunday during a routine traffic stop, authorities said. The trooper was working on U.S. 60 just east of here when the shooting occurred, a Highway Patrol spokesman said. A man and a woman reportedly fled on foot from the shooting.
