Local News in Brief : Actress Arrested in Drunk Driving Case

Actress Charlene Tilton, a former star of the television series “Dallas,” was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after she was spotted driving on the wrong side of Ventura Boulevard in Encino, authorities said Sunday.
Tilton, 28, of Northridge was stopped by police about 6:30 p.m. Saturday near White Oak Avenue, Sgt. Joe Cross said. The actress was taken into custody after she failed a field sobriety test, police said. She was released on her own recognizance.
Tilton’s blood-alcohol level was not made public but police said it was higher than the .10 legal limit.
The actress played Lucy, the niece of J. R. and Bobby Ewing, on “Dallas.” Her role was dropped from the series two years ago.
