A U.S. Navy plane with seven crewmen aboard crashed during a routine flight from the carrier Nimitz in the central Mediterranean, the Navy said in Naples, Italy. The fate of the crew was not disclosed. A Navy spokeswoman said the crash occurred Sunday afternoon. The aircraft was not identified and no details about the crash were immediately available, the spokeswoman said. The names of the pilot and six other crew members were withheld until their families were notified.
