Memorial services will be held today at 10 a.m. for W. (Bud) Semco, 71, nationally known consulting engineer, at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive. He died last Sunday at Humana West Hills Hospital, Woodland Hills, following complications after surgery.
An industrial engineer and resident of Encino, Semco was semi-retired and was associated with Jack R. Huffman in the Encino-based firm of Semco & Huffman, specializing in design and implementation of distribution center operations. Semco founded Semco, Sweet & Mayers Inc. in 1947, and served as its chairman until his retirement in 1985, when Steven R. Halpern assumed ownership.
Semco leaves his wife, Anna, four children and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggested that friends may make donations to their favorite charities in Semco’s memory.
