The Police Department is asking for help in finding a 14-year-old girl who disappeared last week after she left home for school, a police spokesman said Saturday.
Sgt. George Palmer said Wendy Rachelle Osborn was last seen at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday when she left her north Placentia home.
She is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 95 pounds. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She wears round prescription glasses and has braces on her teeth, Palmer said.
The morning she disappeared, she was wearing a pink, polo-type blouse with black checks, pink knit pants and white, high-top shoes. She was also carrying a pink book bag and a red leather purse.
Palmer said extensive investigation has uncovered no evidence of foul play. He said the teen-ager has never run away from home before and is considered “reserved” in public.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detectives Dick Macklin or Rick Miller at (714) 993-8255, or the Adam Walsh Center in Orange, (714) 547-1361.
