A third person within the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has testified that he failed to turn over information to which the defense was entitled in the McMartin Pre-School molestation case. “I did not submit my worklogs to the district attorney (for dissemination to defense lawyers); it was negligence on my part,†said district attorney’s Investigator Anthony (Bill) Brunetti. The logs include notes that usually refer to documents that he did turn over, he said, “but if there’s information (in the logs) that you haven’t gotten it’s not because any D.A. tried to hide it; it’s because I didn’t turn it over.†In testimony at a pre-trial hearing, chief prosecutor Lael Rubin and former co-prosecutor Glenn Stevens both admitted withholding reports of bizarre accusations made by the mother whose allegations triggered the preschool probe three years ago.
