The bodies of a retired Navy captain from San Marino and his son were found in the wreckage of their small plane on the western slopes of Mt. Baldy, the Civil Air Patrol reported. Robert Buford, 56, and his son, Thomas Banks, 30, were last seen alive Friday when they left El Monte Airport in a yellow, two-seat Varga Kachina.
