“I received this recipe from a dear friend of mine 25 years ago,” Ruth Rosenberg writes. “It is the best and easiest chocolate pie I have ever eaten.”
EASY CHOCOLATE PIE
1 (6-ounce) package semisweet chocolate pieces
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons sugar
4 eggs, separated
1 baked (8- or 9-inch) pie crust
Whipped cream, optional
Melt chocolate pieces, milk and sugar in saucepan. Add 4 egg yolks, 1 at a time, stirring until all ingredients are well blended. Cool.
Beat 4 egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into chocolate mixture. Pour into baked pie crust. Chill. Top with whipped cream. Makes 8 servings.
