All 11 recent nighttime sniper attacks in three towns along the Rhode Island-Massachusetts border likely were committed with the same weapon, authorities said. Ballistics tests at the FBI laboratory in Washington showed that bullet fragments found at seven of the 11 shooting scenes were fired from the same weapon. No physical evidence was found at four of the 11 attacks, but police said they believe all the cases are related.
