Marina Advances to Second in Weekly Basketball Poll; El Toro Out of Rankings

The Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. high school basketball poll has a new look this week after Ocean View, Woodbridge and El Toro high schools each suffered two losses last week.

Mater Dei remained the top-ranked team and Marina replaced Ocean View as the No. 2 team. Ocean View fell to sixth, Woodbridge dropped from fourth to eighth and El Toro dropped out of the poll.

In the featured game this week, Marina plays host to Ocean View at 7:30 Wednesday night.
