Sierracin named Gary Roberts corporate vice president of finance and chief financial officer. He joined Sierracin in April, 1984, and served in several posts, the company said, most recently as vice president for finance and administration for several divisions.
Roberts replaces Gary Patten, who resigned in December to become chief financial officer of Optical Radiation, in Azusa. Patten had held the Sierracin post since mid-1982.
Sierracin also named George A. Nikas president of its Sylmar unit. The division, Sierracin’s largest, makes aircraft windshields and windows.
Nikas, 53, was previously corporate vice president and general manager of the Applied Technology division of Western Gear in City of Industry, where he had worked since 1955, Sierracin said. He succeeds Henry Dixon, who resigned in November.
Sylmar-based Sierracin makes aircraft canopies and windshields and a variety of components for the aerospace, military and industrial markets.
