Gun Accident Kills Man

SHREVEPORT, La. — A pistol kept in a delivery van for protection fell off the dashboard and discharged, fatally wounding a 22-year-old man, police said. Rudolph Jefferson Jr. of Alexandria died Sunday at the LSU Medical Center, where he was transferred Saturday after the incident in Alexandria. The shooting was ruled an accident.
