4 Hurt, 1 Critically in Tujunga Crash
A driver police said had a blood-alcohol level four times the legal limit struck two cars and a parked school bus Tuesday in Tujunga, critically injuring herself and slightly injuring three other people, Los Angeles police said.
Lois Mae Mefford, 56, of Tujunga, was in critical condition at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills. Mefford’s car knocked the bus into another bus in front of Verdugo Hills High School, Officer Claudia Kellar said. Two drivers and a third adult on the buses had minor injuries, she said. Police said Medford’s blood-alcohol level was .40.
