Knott’s Foods to Make PeggyJane Salad Dressing
Knott’s Berry Farm Foods said it will manufacture and exclusively distribute PeggyJane’s Salad Dressing, a premium line of five dressings produced by PeggyJane’s of Newport Beach.
Knott’s, the Placentia-based division of Knott’s Berry Farm, will immediately begin promoting, licensing and distributing the products through grocery stores in about 30 states. Under the seven-year contract, which was signed this week, Knott’s should begin making the salad dressing within six months, said Jane Wedmore of Newport Beach, co-owner of PeggyJane’s.
PeggyJane’s is a 10-year-old company with annual sales of close to $3 million. Wedmore said she expects the agreement to allow the closely held firm to double its volume over the next three to five years. There are no plans yet to sell the dressing at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park.
