V. M. Molotov

Your article (Nov. 11) on Vyacheslav M. Molotov’s death said: “. . . he (Molotov) was a nephew of the composer Aleksandr Skriabin.” Well, he wasn’t.
I know, because I am the composer’s granddaughter. Molotov was born Skriabin, but he was no relative of my grandfather, much less a nephew.
I surely can do without an uncle like Molotov, so I decided to set the record straight, for my own peace of mind and for the sake of my sons.
