Lazers Lose, 3-2, to Wichita Wings
The Lazers saw their Major Indoor Soccer League record drop to 4-9 Tuesday night when they were beaten, 3-2, by the Wichita Wings in front of a Kansas Coliseum crowd of 7,827.
The game was a defensive battle, with only two goals being scored in the first three periods.
Wichita took the lead on Eric Rasmussen’s 18th goal of the season 11:24 into the first period, and Stuart Lee tied the score 58 seconds into the second period off a pass from Darko Birjukov.
After a scoreless third quarter, back-to-back goals by Neill Roberts and Chico Borja, the latter off a power play, gave the Wings (6-8) a 3-1 advantage.
