The owner of the Washington Hotel, a two-story residence hotel in downtown Culver City, has notified city officials that she wants to sell the property to the city’s Redevelopment Agency. The agency Monday ordered an appraisal of the building as the first step toward purchasing it.
In a Nov. 14 letter, Carol Franco DeVoogd wrote Redevelopment Agency officials of her intention to sell the hotel, at 3927 Van Buren Place in a redevelopment district. A private consultant will appraise the hotel and report back to the agency at a later date.
