MIAMI — The Colombian baritone Carlos Julio Ramirez has died at the age of 73.
Ramirez, 73, died Thursday in Miami General Hospital after a long illness. He was best known in Latin America, Europe and the United States for his interpretation of the tango “Nostalgia.â€
In addition to his recordings, Ramirez performed operas such as the Barber of Seville at New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Colon Theater of Buenos Aires.
