Northridge Snaps Six-Game Losing Streak, 71-58

Forward Paul Drecksel scored 16 points and center Ray Horwath added 15 as Cal State Northridge posted its first victory of the season, a 71-58 nonconference basketball victory Friday night at Cal State Hayward.
CSUN (1-6), which had a 39-26 halftime lead, was ahead by at least 20 points for most of the second half. Drecksel made 6 of 8 field-goal attempts, including two three-point shots.
Eric Williams led Hayward with 27 points.
