Lisa Stevens scored 23 points and Brooke Meadows and Shelda Arceneaux added 14 each to lead San Diego State to a 92-63 victory over Portland State Friday night in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Peterson Gym.

The Aztecs improved to 2-4. Portland State fell to 4-3.

SDSU got a big boost from Arceneaux, a senior forward who had missed the team’s first four games this season because she had not signed up for enough class units at school. Arceneaux played in her first game Tuesday night at USC but was ineffective. Friday, she made 7 of 10 shots.

Portland State was led by Stacy Liebl, who scored 21 points.

SDSU will take a week off before playing host to the University of San Diego a week from Sunday.
