Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. has provided $7.15 million in financing for the Compton Town Center and the Crenshaw-Slauson Shopping Center, partnerships in which Watt Commercial Properties Inc., Santa Monica, is the managing general partner.
The nearly 17-acre Compton project, adjacent to the Compton Civic Center, was completed in 1984 on the south side of East Compton Boulevard between Alameda Street and Willowbrook Avenue. Anchored by J. J. Newberry, Boy’s Market and Osco/Sav-on, the 150,000-square-foot center is fully leased.
The 108,000-square-foot Crenshaw-Slauson development was recently expanded and renovated and is anchored by a Boy’s Market, Thrifty drug and Trak Auto.
Project financing was arranged by GFS Real Estate Finance, Long Beach.
